Why do you think people betray each other? If someone tells you that they want to be with you forever and that they love you to the ends of the earth, how do they turn on you at the flip of a coin? And why should I believe anything he or anybody ever tells me anymore?

I can’t say I know why any of it happens but it’s very typical and it’s important to remember that it’s not always up to you and it’s often out of your control. Humans are unpredictable creatures. Enjoy the ride as long as you can, if it feels wrong, move on and treat yourself right. There’s good people out there too, and even good people have issues too. Tough times will come and go at an unpredictable speed. As vague as it sounds, it’s important to remember there’s better days ahead, with or without the person you imagined them with.
